Can I order now for a delivery date in the future?
Yes, you can. Our shopping basket includes a delivery date calendar, allowing you to select any available future delivery date at checkout. This is ideal for gifts, events, or planning ahead.
We use DPD as our trusted third-party courier and will always dispatch your order in time for your chosen date. While we do everything possible to ensure timely delivery, courier delays can occasionally occur due to factors outside our control. If you experience any issues, please get in touch and we’ll be happy to help.
Do I need to be home for the delivery?
Not necessarily. At checkout, you can leave delivery instructions, such as a safe place or neighbour, and we’ll pass these on to DPD.
Once your order has been dispatched, DPD will send you tracking details by email and text, allowing you to Track your parcel in real time, Update delivery preferences ,Rearrange delivery if needed
If you have any trouble with tracking, our team is always on hand to assist.
How do I track my order?
As soon as DPD collect your parcel from our warehouse, you’ll receive a live tracking link via email and text.
On the morning of your selected delivery date, DPD will provide a timed delivery window. If you use the DPD app, you’ll also receive real-time notifications directly to your phone.
What is your packaging like?
We take great care with packaging to ensure your cheese arrives in excellent condition.
- All cheese parcels are chilled with reusable ice packs
- Orders are insulated using recyclable Woolcool packaging
- UK mainland orders are sent via an overnight delivery service
Clear guidance is included on how to reuse or recycle the packaging. We continually review our materials to ensure they are as eco-friendly and effective as possible while protecting your cheese.
When should I take my cheese out of the fridge before serving?
For the best flavour and texture, we recommend removing your cheese from the fridge around one hour before serving.
Cheese is best enjoyed at room temperature (approximately 18–23°C), allowing its full character and aroma to develop.
What is the difference between pasteurised and unpasteurised milk?
Pasteurised milk is gently heated to eliminate certain bacteria, creating a consistent and stable base for cheesemaking.
Unpasteurised (raw milk) cheese retains its natural bacteria and enzymes, often resulting in more complex and distinctive flavours. Many artisan cheesemakers use milk from their own farms, giving them full control over animal welfare, pastures, and milk quality.
Both styles have their place, and each offers a unique cheesemaking tradition and taste experience.
